Bumblebee Group 2024 - 2025

Miss Ginty

Welcome to the Bumblebee Group's class page!

Our class teacher is Miss Ginty. Our class TAs are Miss Nicolae and Miss Morgan.

Morning drop off

Children can be dropped off and collected at the doors of the year 5/6 building on the school playground. Children will be taken through to the classroom by an adult one at a time or in small groups dependent on their specific needs, this is to ensure the safety of all students.

Please be aware that at morning drop off you may have to wait a few minutes before an adult is free to take your child through to class. We will do our best to ensure this runs smoothly but the safety of each child is our priority.

End of day collection

Children can be collected in the same place as drop off. When you have arrived to collect your child, let a member of provision staff know and your child will be brought through to the playground by an adult.

Again, there may be a small wait if we have multiple families arriving at the same time. Please bear with us, we are doing our best to support all students and their families safely.

Toileting

If your child is in nappies then please ensure you bring at least four nappies per day as well as your preferred wipes.

If your child is toileting, please ensure that you bring spare clothes (at least four pairs of underpants/knickers, trousers, socks and t-shirts and a spare pair of shoes)

Snacks and packed lunches

Your child will be provided with fruit during snack times and playtimes throughout the day. You may also bring two small healthy snacks for your child to enjoy during morning and afternoon snack times. Please see healthy snack advice sent home.

If you choose for your child to have a packed lunch instead of school dinners, you must ensure the contents comply with our healthy schools policies. Please see healthy schools letter sent home.

Communication books

Every day, we will write in your child's communication book about how your child has been and what they have done. Communication books must be brought to school every day and we will always return them to you at the end of the school day.

Please check your child's communication book every evening and write a message to let us know how they have been and what they have done at home. We ask all parents/ carers to at least add their initials each day so we know important messages have been received.

Tapestry

In Bumblebees, we will keep you updated on what your child is working on and achieving via the Tapestry app. On Tapestry, you will see picture and video observations of all the brilliant things your child has achieved in class. You can also comment on your child's observations and add your own observations of what your child has done at home. It is a great way to support your child's development so please get involved.

We ask all parents/ carers to like or comment on every tapestry post that’s added about your child so we know you are receiving the posts.

For existing Ashbury Meadow students, please check your tapestry accounts are up and working. Please let me know if you need any support with this.

For new students, please ensure you return your ‘lets get started’ letter to set you up on tapestry.

Many thanks,

The Bumblebees Team
