LOTC Week

Last week Ashbury Meadow took part in LOTC Week, outdoor learning improves children’s health, engages them with learning and leads to a greater connection with nature. Play not only teaches critical life skills such as resilience, teamwork and creativity, but is central to children’s enjoyment of childhood.

During Outdoor Classroom Week our EYFS followed an exciting treasure map around school grounds to find some wild animals.

Year 1 has a memorable visit from the Forest School, Year 3 made bird feeders for the coming colder months to help our local feathered friends.

Year 5 took to the playground to act out what solid, liquid and gas particles looked like and Year 6 made a bug hotel!
