Nursery L 2017 - 2018

Miss Lees

Nursery Teacher

Hello and welcome to My class page

On this page you will find news and updates regarding special events and dates in Nursery as well as photographs of the children and the fun things they have been doing whilst in school.

We are now in the first half of our Spring term and our topic will be based around 'When I grow Up'. During this topic we will be focussing on stories in our literacy lessons about different jobs such as being a firefighter, a teacher, a police officer etc. In our maths lessons will be learning to develop our careful counting skills and practise counting up to ten objects. We will also be learning the names of simple shapes and how to describe their properties.

During this topic we hope to develop the children's skills across all 17 areas of development matters but will always carry out a weekly reading and mark making focus and maths will alternate every week between number and shape, space and measure.

We would like to welcome three new children to our class, Joshua, Shahab and Anna. They have all been settling in very well and we have all loved making new friends!

Should there be any problems or queries along the way please do come and see me at the end of the school day.

Please Remember!

Please ensure your child always has a spare set of clothes with them in Nursery whether they are prone to toileting accidents or not. We often have water play inside and outside, along with messy play and crafts so often a change of clothes is needed.

Thank you!
